EFINEA Alloy 50 (High Permeability 49®, Magnifer® 50)

EFINEA is leading source for your EFINEA Alloy 50 materials.  This soft magnetic alloy consists of approximately 47%-49% nickel and balance iron. This nickel-iron alloy provides the highest saturation flux density at approximately 16000 gauss.  Along with its high magnetic permeability and low core loss properties, EFINEA Alloy 50 is available in a variant of grades to satisfy a range of applications.

Currently this iron-nickel alloy is utilized in laminated cores, magnetic shields and select electronics applications where the alloy’s high permeability and low magnetizing forces increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the equipment.

EFINEA Alloy 50 is known by the manufacturer’s trade names and produced by these leading specialty metal manufacturers:

  • High Permeability 49®, Carpenter Technology Corporation
  • Magnifer 50®, VDM Metals
